During the winter time, we always try and update our portfolios, dream bigger for TréCreative, and think about the mission and our WHY behind TréCreative. I’ve said this before but it’s really important to us. Being a wedding photographer for the last six years, we’ve always expressed to our couples how much we want the photos we take of them to last as a legacy of love that is passed down from generations to come. After spending a lot of time thinking about legacy, I’ve realized that this legacy doesn’t just start and end once a couple gets married, but rather that’s only the beginning. This legacy continues into their families and documenting those seasons ahead as well! That is a big reason why we are now offering these type of lifestyle film photography sessions shot on our medium format film camera.

Shooting on film is another reason we’ve fallen in love with these sessions. Film not only captures colors so vibrantly and soft, it also makes us slow down and focus on our subjects and how they are interacting together. It forces us to care about quality over quantity and making us fall in love with photography and how it captures people all over again.

The Silberbauer family live in the most adorable neighborhood and have a beautifully decorated home. Brent and Jen are the amazing parents of Zoe and now baby Ezekiel. When we arrived, Big Sis Zoe greeted us and was full of energy and showed us all around her favorite places to play. From our time together, one thing we really grew to appreciate about this beautiful family is the way they talked to one another. Words are really powerful and I loved how both Brent and Jen talked to their kids with lots of love and patience. Jen is an amazing artist and painted Ezekiel’s nursery which was full of color and so fun. Brent mentioned to us how sometimes adjusting to having a new family member can be hard especially if you’re used to being an only child. Both him and Jen really wanted Zoe to feel extra loved during this adjustment and we loved how Brent takes Zoe on father-daughter dates while Jen stays back with her sweet baby. We thought that was so cool how they love their kids individual and are aware of meeting both their needs.

To the Silberbauer family, congratulations. We hope these photos are a blessing to you for years to come. That little Zoe would grow up and continue to spread her joy and energy with others. That baby Ezekiel would always know how much he is loved by you. Thank you for allowing us into your home!

Enjoy some of our favorite film scans from our time together!
