Chico Wedding Videographer - Jake&Nichole's Private Estate Wedding

Jake&Nichole are one of the sweetest couples we've been privileged to work with this wedding season! They are so natural on camera, they know how to have a good time and above all else, they love each other like no other!

I (Stephen) knew Nichole in high school, so this wedding was extra fun to see some old friends from my Pleasant Valley days. We were able to really get to know these two during their engagement session we did up in Butte Meadows. They love going on outdoor adventures together, so this setting was a perfect fit for these two. The wedding location was no different, it was just a perfect fit for their vision. Jake&Nichole were married at his parent's orchard-surrounded property. This private estate made for an absolutely gorgeous wedding venue. These two, their family and friends put in so much hard work to prepare it for the wedding. Power washing the house, planting fields of flowers and even built custom saloon by Jake's dad really transformed the space into one to remember!

Getting married in June in Chico can be a toss up. It could be swelteringly hot outside, but luckily their wedding day was relatively cool with a nice breeze to make guests comfortable. To stay cool, Jake wore a classic vest with white long sleeve shirt and Nichole went barefoot with a flowy bohemian style wedding dress that added a just the right touch of whimsical romance. Around sunset, we snuck down the street to capture some photos with Jake's vintage BMW motorcycle. You know I had to get capture epic drone shots of this thing in action too! Watch it all in Jake&Nichole's wedding film below! For the best quality, full screen the film, pause the video and let it load a bit, make sure you click HD and select 1080p as well if you want to be really fancy ;)

This day was made possible by so many amazing people and vendors we can't thank them all here but we wanted to give a quick shoutout to a few of our "friendors" from Chico here! First, CES Weddings & Events, who handled the wedding coordination. This team can make any wedding day run smoothly. We were especially impressed with their ceremony to reception transformation. If you look closely in the video, the reception is in the same place as the ceremony. While guests were enjoying cocktail hour and we were doing family photos with the couple, CES flipped the entire space, adding in all the tables, place settings and decorations. Truly amazing! Another vendor we always love the opportunity to work with is Decades, the band! These musicians are not only incredibly talented, they also help run the ceremony and reception audio and always make sure we have crisp and clear audio for our wedding films. Roots Catering handled dinner and wow, does this catering company always deliver! We've seen them do so many interesting and out of the box entrées for weddings and it's always a part of the night we look forward to! If dinner wasn't enough deliciousness, Jake&Nichole had a Sweet Cottage & Shuberts collaboration for dessert. Pie and ice cream is always a hit during the summer, yum! Nichole's hair was perfectly styled by Lindsey from Mecca with the talented Makeup by Meghan Graham to compliment. Little Red Hen handled the flowers and we loved the flower crowns they crafted for each bridesmaid. Last but not least, our friend Shea with The Printed Pearl did some signage and calligraphy you'll see in the film.
