Should I hire a wedding videographer? A bride's candid thoughts...
Is investing a hefty sum in your wedding videography and photography worth it? I'll be honest with you when I say that Chelsey and I spent more on our wedding photography and videography than anything else! The reason... it's 100% worth it. It's an investment that lasts a lifetime! But you shouldn't take our words for it, consider the words of one of our wonderful brides who was "on the fence" about making the decision to hire a wedding videographer.
"Because I was "being the bride", I was nervous about selecting a videographer. I wasn't sure if I wanted one at all. With wedding expenses higher than expected and over budget, I didn't think we needed one. My soon to be husband was adamant on finding a videographer. The only problem was we were getting married in Lake Tahoe. Being that it is a small community, there weren't many options to choose from. I searched and searched the web, and fortunately stumbled upon TréCreative's website. They are based out of Chico, California but their website mentioned that they loved to travel. I thought I would give them a try. Looking at their videos online, they were our first choice. The creativeness, professional quality and skill in editing were phenomenal. Once we sent our first email, we knew Stephen and Chelsey were the RIGHT choice. They were extremely responsive and immediately set up a Skype call to get to know us as a couple.
Long story short, they made their way up to Tahoe (which is a place they had never visited before). They showed up on time to our hotel before the wedding, did their work with confidence and made everything look so easy. They then moved to our wedding site at Egdewood Golf Course and were ready for us by the time the wedding parties were ready to walk down the isle. Never a hitch, and I never felt worried, which was such a nice feeling.
It wasn't until I saw our video that I realized how truly amazing Stephen and Chelsey are. I have probably watched our video over 100 times now. They captured every single magical moment there was. The way they pieced everything together and the music they chose made it a masterpiece. I have to say that my husband and I were nervous about letting Stephen and Chelsey choose our music, but I have to say, that may have been one of our favorite surprises! I can't believe that I questioned having a wedding videographer. This is truly my favorite thing from our wedding, outside of the wedding part! Every single person we have shared our video with has thought it is the best wedding video they have ever seen....and I believe them!
