We are so excited to be teaming up with our good friend Renée from Mariée Wedding to help host the third annual Vivify Workshop. If you are an aspiring photographer (or videographer), or a photographer who is looking to up their portfolio full of gorgeous details, this post is for you. About Vivify

This amazing workshop was dreamed up nearly three years ago and has since grown to something we look forward to every year! It is like a styled shoot on steroids! We have some of the top vendors in the Bay Area in California come together to collaborate and create and make some of the prettiest details you've ever seen! How it works is at the venue we will have three setups including tablescapes, details, florals, and models. When you arrive, we'll have a meet and greet networking lunch followed by a free-flowing shooting time. Take whatever details you would like, style them, shoot them and fill your memory cards with gorgeous imagery. Each area will have a different style and color pallet. 1. Show What You Want to Shoot

It doesn't matter where you're at in your photography journey if you're just beginning or a seasoned veteran. Portfolios can always be added to, tweaked and improved with the latest styles, trends and high-end fashion. We're firm believers in "show what you want to shoot". 2. It's Not About What You Know, It's About Who You Know

After being full-time photographers and videographers for five years now, we know the how collaboration in the creative community is KEY. You need other people to relate to and bounce ideas back and forth. We know what it’s like to struggle with isolation and not know who to look to in times when you need advice. One of the long-term benefits of investing in a workshop like Vivify is the relationships that come from it. We structure the day very freely so you have time to shoot, but also time to network with other creatives and build friendships and community. We've created a private Facebook community as well where any past and present attendees can hang out and have discussions online, as well as refer jobs to one another. This community has been a great source of collaboration and growth for many members over the years and we're so excited to see it grow.

3. Creativity is Contagious

There's something about leaving home, and committing to a day of creative fun (without the stress of an actual wedding day) that is so refreshing. Especially when you're surrounded by like-minded individuals who all have the same mission, to better their craft and learn from one another. Because the schedule of Vivify is very relaxed, you can spend as much time on any shot as you'd like. I know last year, Chelsey sat down with some of the gorgeous invite suites and styled pretty flat lays for at least 30min. This is something on an actual wedding day we'd never have time for! Being around other photographers is awesome too because it opens your creative outlook on how things can be done. You'll see how others work with details and models and sometimes even something small like this can have a big impact on your own style.

Last year we offered a teaching portion to the workshop as well if people wanted to learn more about a specific area of their business. We will be offering this again this year, but we're making it even more personallized. We LOVE helping photographers out and would love to give you personalized advice about whatever you need advice on. This could be about technical photography techniques, posing your couples/models, business models, financial, you name it. We will be a limited number of sign ups starting September 15th. These spots are first come first serve. We always limit the number of attendees to ensure that it's not crowded and everyone has space to be their creative best.
